MISCELLANEOUS

Below are some other projects, musings and fascinations.

FIGHTER/LOVER

Fighter/Lover is a cyber-punk trio I play with.  The band is myself on keyboards and electronics, Roey Shemesh on guitar and vocals, and Jeff Butterfield on drums. We have a self-titled full length that is just finishing the design process and will be available soon.  Our first (also self titled) e.p., is also available.

DOTS BY NORMAN MCLAREN MUSIC REMIX

Here is a remix I made for Norman McLaren’s short animation Dots.  I used mainly simple samplers and drum machines.

OWL RIDGE SESSIONS

Home movies from my time up at Owl Ridge Artist Lodge. Much love to Kenton Loewen and Roey Shemesh.

OPUS 14 DUSTIN O’HALLORAN

This is an arrangement of Dustin O’Halloran’s Opus 14.  Although I love the piece for solo piano, for some reason I thought layers of synths might sound cool.

JOHN CAGE’S DREAM

This is an arrangement of John Cage’s Dream.  Again originally for solo piano, this arrangement is for Piano, Bass, Clarinet, Trombone, Cello, Flute, and miscellaneous electronics.

INVISIBLE CITIES – ESMERALDA: TRADING CITIES

This is the piece that launched my fascination with Invisible Cities.  The piece was inspired by the dreamlike reality Italo Calvino creates in his book, and is trying to mimic the feeling of remembering through poetry.  I love the fact that all the original sound source comes from a quick low fi recording session with Peggy Lee.  The piece was not included on the Invisible Cities album.

THE IDEA OF NORTH COOKING

This is a pilot for a cooking show I made.
